For some reason, I really struggled to find something I really liked to use as a name for my business. Once I thought of Freedom Rose, however, I fell in love with the name. For those of you who aren't familiar with types of roses, the Freedom Rose is a very beautiful large red rose (in England, the Freedom Rose is a deep yellow). Roses are my favorite flower, and these in particular stand out at the top of my favorite roses list. I wanted to use an American flag and a rose somewhere in the design. I toyed with different ideas, going from a photo of the Freedom Rose laying on an American flag to just the rose itself, and then I thought of the rose being the American flag. When I started searching for images like this, I came upon the design I ended up using for my logo. It was fun to embroidery, and was my first project with many color changes. It turned out to be a bit of a challenge, but I enjoyed the end result!
